Understanding Account Activity Log

Last Updated: March 2026 2 min read

Overview

The account activity log provides a detailed record of all actions performed in your 10Corp account. It is an essential tool for monitoring account usage, troubleshooting issues, and detecting unauthorized access. This guide explains how to access and interpret your activity log.

Accessing the Activity Log

  1. Log in to your 10Corp account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Activity Log (or Account Activity).
  3. The log will display a chronological list of recent account actions.

What the Activity Log Records

The activity log captures a wide range of events, including:

Event TypeExamples
AuthenticationSuccessful logins, failed login attempts, password changes, 2FA changes
Account SettingsProfile updates, notification preference changes, contact information modifications
Domain ManagementDNS record changes, nameserver updates, domain transfers, renewals
HostingService provisioning, plan upgrades/downgrades, configuration changes
BillingPayments, invoice generation, payment method changes
SecurityAPI key creation/revocation, sub account changes, permission modifications

Understanding Log Entries

Each log entry typically includes:

  • Timestamp — The date and time the action occurred (displayed in your account’s timezone).
  • Action — A description of what was done (e.g., “DNS record updated,” “Login successful”).
  • User — The account user or sub account that performed the action.
  • IP Address — The IP address from which the action was initiated.
  • Status — Whether the action succeeded or failed.

Filtering and Searching

Most activity logs support filtering by:

  • Date range — View actions within a specific time period.
  • Action type — Filter by authentication, DNS, billing, etc.
  • User — View actions from a specific sub account or team member.

What to Look For

When reviewing your activity log, watch for:

  • Logins from unknown IP addresses or locations — This may indicate unauthorized access.
  • Unexpected DNS or nameserver changes — These could redirect your website or email.
  • Password or 2FA modifications you did not make — Change your password immediately and contact support.
  • Failed login attempts — Multiple failures may indicate a brute-force attack.

If you detect suspicious activity:

  1. Change your password immediately. See Changing Your Account Password.
  2. Enable or reset 2FA if it has been modified. See Enabling Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Contact 10Corp support to report the issue and secure your account.
  4. Review all recent changes and revert any unauthorized modifications.
