Setting Up Login Alerts

Last Updated: March 2026 2 min read

Overview

Login alerts notify you whenever someone signs into your 10Corp account, especially from a new device, browser, or location. These alerts are a critical security feature that helps you detect unauthorized access quickly and take action before any damage is done.

How to Enable Login Alerts

  1. Log in to your 10Corp account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Security (or Security Settings).
  3. Find the Login Alerts section.
  4. Toggle login alerts to Enabled.
  5. Choose your preferred notification method:
    • Email — Receive an alert to your registered email address.
    • SMS — Receive a text message (if a phone number is configured).
    • Both — Receive alerts via email and SMS simultaneously.
  6. Click Save Settings.

What Login Alerts Include

Each login alert typically contains:

  • Date and time of the login.
  • IP address from which the login occurred.
  • Approximate location based on the IP address (city, country).
  • Device and browser information (e.g., “Chrome on Windows 11”).
  • A link to review your account activity if the login was not initiated by you.

Responding to Unexpected Login Alerts

If you receive a login alert and you did not log in:

  1. Change your password immediately. See Changing Your Account Password.
  2. Review your account activity log for any unauthorized changes. See Understanding Account Activity Log.
  3. Enable or verify two-factor authentication to prevent further unauthorized access. See Enabling Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. Check your email account for signs of compromise, as attackers may have gained access through your email.
  5. Contact 10Corp support if you believe your account has been compromised.

False Positives

Sometimes a login alert may be triggered by legitimate activity:

  • VPN usage — If you use a VPN, your apparent location may change frequently.
  • Mobile networks — Mobile IP addresses can change often, triggering location-based alerts.
  • Browser updates — A browser update may cause your device to appear as a new browser.

If you regularly trigger false alerts, you can review your alert settings, but we recommend keeping alerts enabled for maximum security.
