Overview
Sub accounts allow you to grant other users access to specific parts of your 10Corp account without sharing your primary login credentials. This is ideal for businesses that need to delegate tasks to team members, developers, or clients while maintaining control over account security and permissions.
Creating a Sub Account
- Log in to your 10Corp account.
- Navigate to Settings > Sub Accounts (or Team Management).
- Click Add Sub Account or Invite User.
- Enter the user’s email address and name.
- Select the permissions and access level you want to assign (see Roles and Permissions below).
- Click Send Invitation.
- The invited user will receive an email with instructions to set up their sub account credentials.
Roles and Permissions
Sub accounts can be configured with different permission levels:
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to all account features, including billing and user management |
| Manager | Can manage services and domains but cannot modify billing or account settings |
| Technical | Access to DNS management, hosting settings, and technical configurations |
| Billing | Access to invoices, payment methods, and billing-related features only |
| Read-Only | Can view account information but cannot make any changes |
Managing Existing Sub Accounts
To modify or remove a sub account:
- Navigate to Settings > Sub Accounts.
- Find the user in the list and click Edit or Manage.
- Update their permissions as needed, or click Remove to revoke access.
- Click Save Changes to apply.
Best Practices
- Follow the principle of least privilege — only grant the minimum permissions needed for each user’s role.
- Review sub accounts regularly and remove access for users who no longer need it.
- Require two-factor authentication for sub accounts that have access to sensitive settings.
- Use descriptive names for sub accounts so you can easily identify each user.
