Managing Authorized Contacts

Last Updated: March 2026 2 min read

Overview

Authorized contacts are individuals you designate to communicate with 10Corp support on your behalf. This is useful when you have team members, consultants, or business partners who need to request support actions without being full sub account users.

Adding an Authorized Contact

  1. Log in to your 10Corp account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Authorized Contacts (or Account Contacts).
  3. Click Add Contact.
  4. Enter the contact’s information:
    • Full name
    • Email address
    • Phone number (optional)
    • Relationship (e.g., developer, business partner, IT administrator)
  5. Define the authorization scope — what actions this contact is allowed to request:
    • Technical support — Can request help with DNS, hosting, and other technical issues.
    • Billing inquiries — Can ask about invoices and payment issues.
    • Domain management — Can request domain-related changes.
    • Full authorization — Can request any account action.
  6. Set an expiration date (optional) — The authorization will automatically expire on this date.
  7. Click Save Contact.

Verifying Authorized Contacts

When an authorized contact reaches out to 10Corp support:

  • They will be asked to provide their name and the account they are associated with.
  • They may be asked a verification question or need to provide a PIN that you have set up.
  • Support will only perform actions within the scope of their authorization.

Editing or Removing Contacts

  1. Navigate to Settings > Authorized Contacts.
  2. Find the contact in the list.
  3. Click Edit to modify their information or authorization scope.
  4. Click Remove to revoke their authorization entirely.
  5. Click Save Changes to confirm.

Best Practices

  • Review your authorized contacts list regularly and remove anyone who no longer needs access.
  • Use specific authorization scopes rather than granting full authorization.
  • Set expiration dates for temporary authorizations (e.g., for a contractor working on a project).
  • Notify contacts when they are added so they know they can reach out to support.
  • Keep your own account contact information current so support can verify requests.
