How to Change Your cPanel Language

Last Updated: 2025-01-01 2 min read

cPanel supports dozens of languages, allowing you to navigate the hosting control panel in the language you are most comfortable with. Changing the language is a quick process done through cPanel’s preferences.

How to Change the cPanel Language

  1. Log in to cPanel using your credentials.
  2. In the cPanel dashboard, locate the Preferences section (usually near the bottom of the page).
  3. Click on Change Language.
  4. A dropdown list of available languages will appear. Select your preferred language from the list.
  5. Click Change to apply.

The interface will immediately reload in your selected language. All menus, labels, and navigation items will be translated.

Supported Languages

cPanel supports a wide range of languages, including but not limited to:

  • English
  • Spanish (Español)
  • French (Français)
  • German (Deutsch)
  • Portuguese (Português)
  • Chinese (中文)
  • Japanese (日本語)
  • Arabic (العربية)
  • Russian (Русский)
  • Turkish (Türkçe)

The exact list of available languages depends on your server’s cPanel version and configuration.

Changing Language via the Sidebar

In newer versions of cPanel using the Jupiter theme:

  1. Click on your username in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  2. Select Change Language from the user menu.
  3. Choose your language and confirm.

Important Notes

  • Changing the language only affects the cPanel interface — it does not translate your website content or email messages.
  • The language setting is per-account — each cPanel user can choose their own language independently.
  • If you change the language to one you cannot read and need to revert, look for the Preferences section (it retains its position on the page) or append ?locale=en to your cPanel URL to temporarily load the English version.
  • Some third-party cPanel plugins or features may not be fully translated and will fall back to English.

Resetting to English

If you accidentally set cPanel to a language you do not understand:

  1. In your browser, navigate to: https://yourdomain.com:2083/?locale=en
  2. This forces cPanel to load in English for that session.
  3. Go to Preferences → Change Language and set it back to English permanently.

Changing the language makes cPanel more accessible and easier to navigate, especially for users who prefer working in their native language.
