Registrant Rights and Responsibilities
Your Rights as a Domain Registrant
ICANN’s Registrant Rights and Responsibilities policy ensures that domain name registrants are treated fairly by their registrars. As a 10Corp customer, you are entitled to the following rights:
Right to Accurate Information
You have the right to receive clear and accurate information about the terms and conditions of your domain registration, including pricing, renewal procedures, and any applicable fees.
Right to Transfer
You have the right to transfer your domain to another registrar of your choosing, subject to ICANN’s transfer policies. Your registrar cannot unreasonably deny or delay a transfer request.
Right to Renewal
You have the right to renew your domain registration, provided you do so before the expiration date and any applicable redemption period. 10Corp will send renewal reminders at regular intervals before your domain expires.
Right to Access Your Data
You can access and update the personal information associated with your domain registration at any time through your 10Corp account.
Right to Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises regarding your domain, you have the right to participate in established resolution processes such as the UDRP, and you may also seek legal remedies through the courts.
Right to Cancel
You may cancel your domain registration at any time. Be aware that cancellation does not always entitle you to a refund, depending on the terms of your registration agreement.
Your Responsibilities as a Domain Registrant
Alongside your rights, you have important responsibilities:
Maintain Accurate WHOIS Information
You must provide accurate and current contact information at the time of registration and update it promptly if anything changes. Failure to do so may result in domain suspension.
Respond to Verification Requests
When 10Corp or ICANN contacts you to verify your registrant information, respond within the specified timeframe. Ignoring verification requests can lead to domain suspension.
Comply with Policies
You are responsible for understanding and following the terms of your Registration Agreement, as well as applicable ICANN policies, including the UDRP and any dispute resolution procedures.
Pay Registration Fees on Time
Ensure your domain registration fees are paid before the expiration date. If a domain expires and enters the redemption period, additional fees may apply for recovery.
Use Your Domain Lawfully
Your domain and any associated services must be used in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Illegal use of a domain can result in suspension or cancellation.
