Taxes and Fees Explained

Last Updated: 2025-01-01 2 min read

Your 10Corp invoice may include taxes and fees in addition to the base price of your products and services. This article explains what these charges are and why they appear.

Sales Tax and VAT

Depending on your billing address, applicable sales tax or value-added tax (VAT) may be added to your order. Tax rates are determined by your location and local tax laws.

How Tax Is Calculated

  • Tax is calculated based on the billing address associated with your account.
  • The tax rate is applied to the subtotal of taxable items at checkout.
  • Some products or services may be tax-exempt in certain jurisdictions.

Updating Your Tax Information

If you are a tax-exempt organization, you may be able to provide exemption documentation:

  1. Log in at https://my.10corp.com/.
  2. Go to Account SettingsBilling Information.
  3. Upload or submit your tax exemption certificate.
  4. Once verified, applicable taxes will no longer be applied to future invoices.

Note: Tax exemption does not apply retroactively to past invoices.

ICANN Fee

For domain registrations, renewals, and transfers involving applicable TLDs, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) mandates a fee of $0.18 per domain per year. This fee is:

  • Required by ICANN for all accredited registrars.
  • Passed through at cost — 10Corp does not mark up this fee.
  • Displayed as a separate line item on your invoice.

Redemption Fees

If a domain expires and enters the redemption period, recovering it requires a redemption fee in addition to the renewal cost. Redemption fees vary by TLD but are typically significantly higher than a standard renewal. This fee is set by the domain registry.

Currency Conversion Fees

All 10Corp transactions are processed in USD. If your payment method uses a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply a currency conversion fee. This fee is charged by your financial institution, not by 10Corp.

Regulatory and Compliance Fees

In some regions, additional regulatory fees may apply to certain services. These are mandated by local authorities and will be itemized on your invoice when applicable.

Viewing Fees on Your Invoice

All taxes and fees are displayed as separate line items on your invoice for full transparency. To review them:

  1. Log in at https://my.10corp.com/.
  2. Go to BillingInvoices.
  3. Click on any invoice to see the itemized breakdown.

If you have questions about a specific fee, contact 10Corp support with your invoice number.
