Billing Cycle and Renewal Dates
Understanding your billing cycle helps you anticipate charges, budget accurately, and avoid unexpected service interruptions. This article explains how billing cycles and renewal dates work at 10Corp.
What Is a Billing Cycle?
A billing cycle is the recurring time period for which you are charged for a service. Common billing cycles include:
- Monthly — Billed every month
- Quarterly — Billed every 3 months
- Semi-annually — Billed every 6 months
- Annually — Billed every 12 months
- Biennially — Billed every 2 years
The billing cycle you choose at the time of purchase determines how often you are billed and the length of each service term. Longer billing cycles typically offer a lower per-month cost.
How to Find Your Renewal Dates
- Log in at https://my.10corp.com/.
- Navigate to My Products or the specific product management page.
- Each product listing will display its expiration date or next renewal date.
You can also check Billing → Invoices for upcoming and recent billing activity.
When Are Renewals Processed?
Renewal payments are attempted before the expiration date to allow time for any issues to be resolved:
| Product Type | Renewal Attempt Window |
|---|---|
| Domains | 10–15 days before expiration |
| Hosting plans | 3–7 days before expiration |
| SSL certificates | 7–30 days before expiration |
| Other services | 3–7 days before expiration |
If the initial renewal attempt fails, the system will retry the payment one or more times before the expiration date.
Changing Your Billing Cycle
Some products allow you to change your billing cycle at renewal. For example, you may switch from monthly to annual billing to take advantage of a lower rate:
- Go to the product’s management page.
- Look for Change Billing Cycle or Renewal Options.
- Select the new cycle and confirm.
The change will take effect at the next renewal.
Aligning Renewal Dates
If you have multiple services, their renewal dates may differ based on when each was purchased. While 10Corp does not automatically align renewal dates, you can contact support to discuss options for consolidating billing where possible.
Key Reminders
- Renewal emails are sent before the charge is processed — watch for these notifications.
- Disabling auto-renewal does not change your current expiration date; it simply prevents the next charge.
- Products that expire without renewal may be permanently deleted after a grace period.
